IF INTERESTED IN MY FURBABIES PLEASE PROVIDE A LITTLE INFORMATION ABOUT YOURSELVES AND HOW THE PUPPY WILL BE RAISED.
Please remember all of our parents have had genetic testing and puppies have dew claws removed at 2 days old by my veterinarian and are taken back to the vet at 6 weeks for a checkup.
TEACUP POODLE PUPPIES
ALL TEACUP POODLE, SHIPOO AND HAVAPOO TEACUP PUPPIES ARE MORE FRAGILE THAN A NORMAL SIZED PUPPY. THEY HAVE TO BE WATCHED ON FURNITURE, DO NOT PUT THEM ON FURNITURE AND EXPECT THEM TO STAY THERE. THEY WILL JUMP DOWN TO FOLLOW YOU. THEY DON’T REALIZE THEY’RE MORE FRAGILE SO THEY SHOULD BE WATCHED AROUND OTHER DOGS.
I RECOMMEND STAIRS FOR COUCHES AND BEDS SO YOUR PUPPY DOESN’T HAVE TO JUMP UP AND DOWN AS THIS IS HARD ON THEIR BODIES.
HYPOGLYCEMIA IS A CONDITION THAT CAN AFFECT ALL DOGS BUT MORE LIKELY IN TEACUP PUPPIES. IT CAN OCCUR FROM NOT EATING OFTEN, STRESS FROM NEW HOME, CAR RIDE, VACCINATIONS.
HOW TO PREVENT HYPOGLYCEMIA IS FEED OFTEN. WATCH FOR SIGNS COMING ON. LISTLESSNESS, SHAKING, STICKY GUMS, PALE GUMS, DEHYDRATION AND REFUSAL TO EAT. THIS CONDITION IS SERIOUS AND CAN CAUSE DEATH. KEEP HIGH CALORIE SUPPLEMENTS (SUCH AS NURTR-CAL), HONEY SUGAR WATER AND KARO SYRUP ON HAND. YOU WILL LIKELY HAVE TO RUB ON THE SIDE OR ROOF OF THEIR MOUTH AS THEY WON’T BE WILLING TO EAT.
THEY ARE A GREAT ADDITION TO THE FAMILY WITH A LITTLE EXTRA CARE. THEY ARE USUALLY FAIRLY CALM AND VERY GOOD COMPANIONS AND TRAVELERS.
